Please use this email address (midlakesswimofficial@gmail.com) for sending any Midlakes officiating related questions or concerns to me. Also, be sure to add it to your list of "safe" email addresses (if you filter email addresses). We also have our own portion of the Midlakes website devoted to officials: http://www.midlakesswimleague.org/Officiating.htm.
As last year, we're looking for a contact point at each club for coordinating Officials' information. If you know that you are that person, know who that person is, or if it has changed since last year, please let me know so I can update the contact list.
As previously announced, Midlakes Officials' Training dates have been set - and you only need to attend one (you choose). We've set up a special session for returning officials - but I'll request that those officials feel free to attend the session that works for their schedule as it's a good refresher and a way to network with other officials. If you are a returning official, you will be looked to for help and advice and some of the most interesting questions come from the "new eyes" that are in the room. Besides, it's likely to be very crowded if all returning officials showed up to that session.

The first 2/3rds of the sessions are for everyone covering protocol and Stroke & Turn, the last third is for starters/referees (announcers are welcome during this time).
Championship information is posted on the website (http://www.midlakesswimleague.org/Champ%20Info.htm). Please note that B-Champs are by Division and host clubs are responsibile for arranging for head officials to run their meets. All officials are encouraged to attend and help out at these meets - especially if you'll be there anyway!
As you may have heard, we're back with a full Prelims and Finals schedule for the season league championships. Midlakes is responsible for arranging for USA Swimming Certified Officials during these events. If you are in that category, your help would be appreciated - so please reserve this time on your calendar! More information will be coming.

Junior Boys Prelims - Wednesday July 21st - Hosted by Samena
A-Champs - Saturday July 24th - Hosted by Strattonwood/Triangle/Columbia at KCAC in Federal Way
